The impetus behind the GovernanceExcellence network emerged as a result of a series of focus groups organized by ICSA Canada. ICSA and BenchmarkAction agreed to provide initial support for the formation of the network, while talks continue with other leading governance-related organizations in Canada.

Governance Excellence NetworkThe GovernanceExcellence network consists of organizations collaborating to help governance professionals implement corporate governance "best practices" in business, not-for-profit, and public sector organizations. Governance professionals include Board and Committee members, corporate secretaries, corporate executives, and lawyers, accountants, consultants and other service providers working on governance matters. The GovernanceExcellence website provides access to practical tools and resources that governance professionals can use to assess governance processes, identify priorities, plan actions, allocate resources, track implementation, and evaluate progress.
